Hey guys it's Melanie with Century 21 Elite and we're going to talk about our real estate market and how the snow impacted it.
So if you live in the Northwest Louisiana area I don't have to tell you that basically starting from Monday of last week, the whole week, pretty much every business was closed or it was pretty sparse if there was something open. And other than essential workers most everyone was at home; however, real estate did still move a little bit which I was surprised to see. But the numbers are fairly low. I love numbers so I'm excited to share these numbers with you. All right check it out; so last week we had 27 houses get listed for sale. And we had 49 houses get offers accepted on them so those are now pending and actually 7 of those had just come on the market last week. And we had a total of ..... drumroll please..... six closings that took place so those are our solds! Today there's only a total of 957 houses available for sale in the entire Northwest Louisiana area and when we talked last Monday there were 981 available for sale so we did see inventory go down just a little bit, as expected. So I've never reported numbers so low but we've also never experienced a winter weather event like the one we just went through. I hope you are doing well, safe, have heat, water, food, electricity, all that jazz. If you enjoyed this video stick around for my next one, see you there.
