Housing Market Update 01/04/21

Hey guys it's Melanie with Century 21 Elite and we're going to talk about what's happening in our local real estate market. Last week was another holiday week so that shortened the business week for the
second week in a row. How do you think that impacted the real estate market?

Well, here's what happened:
77 houses were listed for sale which is pretty similar to the previous week.
We had 108 homes get offers accepted on them so those are now pending, and 21 of those houses had actually just been listed last week.
​We had 110 closings that took place and that is actually 15 more than the previous week despite the shortened work week. So those are our Solds! 

Today there's a total of 1130 houses available for sale in the entire Northwest Louisiana area
and when we talked last Monday there were 1186 homes available for sale so that is a drop in inventory
by 56; which is the biggest reduction in inventory that we have seen in quite a long while!
