Are you vegan and don’t know where to eat in the Shreveport Bossier area or are worried that you will starve when you move here? Let me set you in the right direction towards some good vegan food. One benefit of living in one of the two close communities of Shreveport-Bossier is the vegan food options available on either side of the Red River.

100% Vegan Locations

• Vegans On The Run,  1210 Milam St., Shreveport La First up is an entirely vegan food option with meal prep, patio dinging and curbside pickup that requires ordering ahead. Their menu consists of comfort Cajun and Southern style dishes. They operate on a rotating schedule with a changing menu posted on their Facebook page. They are open Tues, Wed, Fri and Sunday.
• Well+ Fed Louisiana, 678 Egan St., Shreveport, La is an entirely vegan food cafe and juicery.
• Good Wishes 1405 Fairfield Ave. Shreveport is an entirely vegan restaurant that also serves fresh juices made to order.
• Plant Life Prep  336 Robinson Place Shreveport is a vegan food plant based meal prep and catering service offering curbside pickup.

American Vegan Food

• Glow Alchemy Kitchen 955 Pierremont Rd Shreveport. La has a very vegan friendly menu and they are open Tues – Friday 8am-2pm for breakfast and lunch. They also offer catering and meal prep.
• The Missing Link, 504 Texas St., Suite 100, Shreveport, La Serves a vegan bratwurst with veggie toppings. They also have vegan garlic fries.
• Sunshine Health Foods, 5751 Youree Dr, Shreveport, La has vegan panini sandwiches, salads and other selections available.

Asian Vegan Food

• Dahn’s Garden, 3312 Youree Dr. , Shreveport, La They have many vegetarian items with the option to be made vegan.
• Imperial Cathay, 6359 Youree Dr. , Shreveport, La They have many vegetarian items with the option to be made vegan.
• Pho L’amour, 530 E. Kings Hwy., Shreveport, La Has a variety of vegan food options  including pho soup, lemongrass tofu, and tofu spring rolls. Be sure to ask for rice noodles instead of egg noodles. They will substitute tofu for meat in dishes.
• Bon Asian Café, 400 Travis St. Ste. 106 (inside the Beck building), Shreveport, La Tofu, veggie and noodle dishes are available. Also available is vegan sushi including tofu roll and avocado roll.
• Sushi Gen, 2300 Airline Dr., Bossier City, AND 6607 Line Ave, Shreveport, La Specify vegan when ordering. Veggie roll and tofu tempura
  available.
• Chengs 3304 Youree Dr. Shreveport La has a vegetarian section on their menu, I think everything is vegan but double check.
• Imperial Wok 2530 W Bert Kouns, Shreveport La They have many vegetarian items with the option to be made vegan.

Italian Vegan Food

• Rotolos 1409 E 70th St. Shreveport La They have vegan cheese, sausage, pepperoni and meatballs for your pizza cravings!
• Franks 6950 Fern Ave. Shreveport La has vegan crust and many veggies. They don’t have any vegan cheese or proteins. I have on several occasions brought my own cheese and they made my pizza with that or you can go cheese-less and still have a great pizza.
• Romas 8905 Mansfield Rd. Shreveport La has no actual vegan food options on the menu but will make a pasta dish with all the veggies (onions, red and green peppers, mushrooms, broccoli, garlic) and tossed in olive oil.

Mexican Vegan Food

• Parish Taceaux, 708 Texas St., Shreveport, La Has vegan tacos available.
• Torchy’s 1384 E 70th St. Shreveport, La has a fried or fresh avocado taco and also a salad, just be sure to let them know you are vegan and don’t want dairy. I don’t think the beans are vegan.
• El Chico 1513 E Bert Kouns, Shreveport, La will accommodate you to create some vegan food options. They have an avocado enchilada that can be made vegan by  eliminating cheese and the sour cream drizzle and replacing the side of refried beans with black beans instead. I have also requested spinach enchiladas and they have yet to not be accommodating.
• Moe’s Southwest Grill 7141 Youree Dr, Shreveport, La is a great vegan option for a quick bite offering organic tofu as a protein instead of meat on any menu item.
• Chipotle 2610 Airline Dr Bossier City & 7030 Youree Dr Shreveport, La for a vegan food option just choose sofritas as your protein on any item.
• El Cabo Verde 1023 Provenance Pl Blvd Shreveport, La has several vegetable enchiladas on the menu and a vegetable taco.
• Cantina Laredo 6535 Youree Dr. Shreveport, La this is a great Mexican vegan food option; they have several vegan options that used to be on a separate Plant based menu but they have since combined and everything is on the main menu. They use Impossible brand meats and vegan cheese.
• Ki Mexico 3839 Gilbert Dr, Shreveport, La offer a mushroom/cactus or tofu tacos. They sometimes have a vegan soup. When getting the black beans and rice specify no cheese sprinkled on top. Tell them you’re vegan and they are very accommodating.
• Uneeda Taco 4200 Airline Dr Bossier City La has a few vegan tacos and sides.
• Casa Jimador 4801 Line Ave, Shreveport, La They have a veggie ranchero — you just have to ask them to not add cheese. They also have veggie fajitas. I don’t think their refried beans are vegan.

Vegan Food Options: Mediterranean

• Athena’s 6030 Line Ave, Shreveport La offers Greek and Lebanese vegan food with a Vegetarian section on their menu and several vegan appetizers. Be sure to specify no cheese on salads.
• Pita Pit 106 Shreveport Barksdale Hwy, Shreveport, La has several vegan food options for your protein in a pita wrap with Beyond Meat, falafel, or a black bean patty.
• Pita De Novo 8510 Youree Dr, Shreveport, La offers falafel for your protein in a pita wrap.

Vegan Food Options: Sweets

• Buttercup Cupcakes 6535 Youree Dr,  Shreveport, La has a a wedding cake cupcake that is vegan and very good.
• Prep Cakes Bakery  504 E Kings Hwy, Shreveport, La offers A bakery fit for a variety of dietary needs including Vegan! I would call ahead.

Misc.

• Cotton Street Farms 406 Cotton St, Shreveport, La does not serve food but is an indoor Urban hydroponic Farm. They grow leafy greens herbs and microgreens. They also bring in seasonal vegetables from sustainable clean Farms within a 20 mile radius. They also carry a vegan Ranch and local roasted coffee.
• Healthy Chef Wellness is a Food for Life Instructor (plant-based, low to no processed oil health classes), Vegan Personal Chef/Cooking Instructor, and Vegan Health Coach.
