Housing Market Update 1/25/21

​Hey guys it's Melanie with Century 21 Elite and we're going to talk about what's happening in our local real estate market.

So last week we had 85 houses get listed for sale. We had 171 homes get offers accepted on them so those are now pending. Out of those, 37 had just been listed in the previous seven days. We had 64 closings that took place and that's a bit of a drop from the previous week by more than 50. But those closings are most likely what went pending about four weeks ago so those would be basically what business-wise what happened during the holidays. So we're just now seeing those coming to a close. Today there's a total of 1056 homes available for sale in the entire Northwest Louisiana area. When we talked last Monday there were 113 homes available for sale, so we did see another week of inventory going down despite 171 homes coming on the market.
